About

Hi, I´m Reiner...

... and ever since I bought my first Vespa (50 N Special) in 1989 at the age of 16, I have remained faithful to the passion and lifestyle of riding scooters to this day. I've been riding my PX 80 with 125cc (built in 1983) for 25 years now. Both scooters have been far more than just means of transport and extremely practical; they have always given me a sense of freedom and independence, as well as endless joy in riding.

The MOD movement of the 1960s, the revival of the Scooterboys in the late 80s and early 90s, and the music of The Who, The Jam, Ska, New Wave, and Britrock are, for me, inseparably linked to the love of scooters.

Over the years, I kept searching for the right outfits that would express this "scooter" feeling. Even though I occasionally came across some nice pieces of clothing, I never found truly awesome scooter T-shirts.

I guess I had to grow a bit older to finally decide to design my own T-shirts and hoodies. I taught myself all the necessary skills and am now able to design and customize T-shirts and hoodies.

The cradle of scooters, whether Vespa or Lambretta, lies in Italy, so it made sense to me to choose an Italian term as the brand name.

www.scooterista.net is for all scooter riders and represents more of an attitude for life and style, rather than a special preference for a particular scooter brand and/or model.
